You can decide on the finish of the wedding ring or perhaps even go for a patterned wedding band. This is your wedding ring and we want to make sure it is just right for you!

Read on to hear more about patterns and finishes on your wedding ring.

Why add a pattern to your wedding ring?

Patterns are a great way to add a unique, almost artistic touch to your wedding ring. These patterns can be distinctive yet elegant and are a great option to make your wedding ring reflect your personality.

Which patterns are there to choose from?

Choose from contemporary, milgrain edged, trinity or perhaps even choose a patterning that creates the illusion of diamonds in the band; the perfect way to add sparkle without having the diamonds. Pattern can also be created by choosing a mixed metal ring or a band with a ceramic inlay. These designs are available in a variety of metals, styles and widths. You may want a ring that has a pattern all over or go for something more subtle like a ring with a milgrain (otherwise known as beaded) edge.

See some of our patterns below.

What if I’m looking for a particular pattern that is not available in store?

We can help make this ring a reality. Speak to our team about our bespoke service and how we can have your wedding ring made with your own unique pattern.

Can I have a patterned wedding ring resized later down the line?

Yes you absolutely can, you will just need to bear in mind that resizing may well affect the pattern slightly. Our talented goldsmiths and suppliers do a fabulous job matching them in as best they can however it is something to be aware of when choosing a patterned wed.

Do you offer Celtic wedding rings?

Yes we do. For those not familiar with Celtic wedding rings, they feature intricate interwoven patterns and knots, this detail is unique to Celtic traditions and culture. They are said to be symbolic of love, eternity and the endless loop of life while bringing fortune and good luck to the wearer. Celebrate your family history and love at the same time with a beautiful Celtic wedding ring. If you are looking for this type of ring, please do pop into store and speak to one of our team who will be able to show you the wedding bands we have.

What about the finish of the ring?

Once you’ve chosen your ring, you’ll want to consider the finish of the ring… they don’t have to all sparkle!

What finishes are there?

You can choose from matt or a shiny finish. When it comes to matt there are more options than you think. Brown and Newirth, our most popular wedding ring supplier has options such as Bark Matt, Stone Matt, Sandblast, to name a few. Our team in store can show and explain the options to you.

Once again, if you for example want a plain band with a sandblast finish, it is not necessarily something you may see in store, however that does not mean it’s not possible so please do take the time to sit down with our team to discuss your wedding ring ideas.

Please see some examples of possible finishes below. These might not all be available depends on the ring you choose.

Make it personal with an engraving

So you’ve chosen your ring, picked your metal type and finish… what next? Why not add a personal engraving! Many of our wedding rings come with 1 free engraving, our team can advise which rings these are and costings for those that have a chargeable engraving option.
