When it comes to choosing a shape to fit band, there are two options available for you.

The first is ordering one from our sample boxes. Some of the more popular shaped rings are available to view, try on and order in store. You may be thinking that by choosing a shape to fit ring you’ll be limited on choice. This is simply not true. Like all of our other rings, these rings are available in a variety of metal types, widths, finishes and with or without diamonds.

Some of our standard shape to fit rings are shown below, these are perfect for twist set engagement rings and shaped diamonds. Shape to fit rings have the following profile choice. Different profiles will suit different ring styles better. For example, curved will fit more of a twist engagement ring whereas a cutaway or wishbone would be more suitable for a diamond cluster engagement ring. Some of these rings can also be tweaked slightly so if your ring was almost the perfect fit, on ordering it could be made ever so slightly different to match your ring.

Your other option for shape to fit is to have a ring specially designed to fit around your engagement ring perfectly. This is a great option for a more unique engagement ring whereby the ones available in store do not make a great match. For our talented suppliers to be able to ensure the perfect fit, they will need to see your engagement ring so that they can be confident of creating the perfect match. Using this service you can choose from plain, diamond set and some patterns. This service does have an additional charge on top of the cost of the ring but our team can explain this to you on the enquiry.

You might want to consider using our bespoke service to create a shape to fit engagement ring if the options available via our supplier didn’t quite make the perfect match. Many bespoke enquires are handled in store by out experienced consultants. This might be sourcing gemstones, picking a mount and making adjustments. I’m looking for something bespoke, how do I start the process off?

Speak to one of our team in store about your bespoke ideas. We have designers on hand and will be able to help find the right one for you. Then we will arrange an appointment to discuss your initial ideas.

Do you have bespoke Jewellery Designers in house?

Many bespoke enquiries are handled in store by our experienced consultants whether this be sourcing gemstones, picking a mount and making adjustments. What happens at the first appointment?

This first appointment is a casual meeting. It will either be with one of our team or Ivonna. This initial consultation is completely free. Think of it of a way to get to know us and for us to understand a bit more about your likes and dislikes. You’ll be shown a few different styles of jewellery to see what you think and get a feel of your tastes. After your initial chat, if you decide to go ahead with having some images mocked up, our team can advise of any charges.

If after my first appointment I decide to proceed further, what happens next?

At your second appointment the magic has already started to happen behind the scenes. We’ll have mock up drawings based on your design for you to consider and allowing you to make any changes that you want. Once all the design and budget details have been finalised, it is time to make your dream ring a reality.

How long does it take to have something bespoke made?

Usually between 6-10 weeks. Please do let us know your wedding date at your first consultation so we can make sure that it is possible and keep that date in mind throughout the process.

I’m looking for a bespoke piece but wondered if I needed to come in for every appointment?

You are more that welcome to enjoy a more digitalised bespoke service at Allum & Sidaway through email and phone if this would be preferred. Sometimes when it comes to more straight forward bespoke designs, there is no essential need to see you in store each time.

I’ve found my ring but wondered about a Bespoke Engraving on the outside of the ring?
