The Bloxworth
A classic 'tech-diver' chronograph designed for those who like a little more function, the Bloxworth collection has true go-anywhere, do-anything watches.Bloxworth
The Bloxworth’s Swiss-made 13-jewel chronograph movement has a three-year battery life (subject to how much the stopwatch function is used) and is secured inside Elliot Brown’s proprietary shock-absorbing steel movement housing. The 44mm diameter case is pebble-like so it wears beautifully even on smaller wrists and is machined from solid 316L marine-grade stainless steel.
The outer edge of the diver's bezel is machined with deep castellations for excellent grip. The unidirectional rotation (anticlockwise) ensures that only a shorter remaining time will be indicated when it’s being used for timing if it should be accidentally knocked. The crown and push-buttons are knurled for superior grip in harsh conditions.
The case back is bolted down, not threaded, because it's the best way of holding the shock-absorbing movement housing accurately inside the case, sealing the case back and ensuring the logo is presented in perfect alignment.
Every watch is individually pressure tested to 150m twice during construction then placed in a water-filled pressure vessel that’s cranked up to 200m. It’s a tough test every one of Elliot Brown’s watches must pass before being declared fit for use.
Bloxworth watches work well with Elliot Brown’s solid stainless bracelets, each one fitted with a micro extending divers extension buckle but are equally at home with rubber, leather canvas or webbing straps. Dress them up or down with a strap change that’s made easy with the fitment of solid steel screw in strap bars.
Elliot Brown was started with a goal to build the most wearable, affordable, toughest watches on the planet. Long term friends, Ian Elliot and Alex Brown, share many years of totally unique watch making skills from the world of extreme sport and it is this knowledge that forms the bedrock behind their extraordinarily capable watches.
Every collection has its own unique Dorset reference story and occupies a niche within the Elliot Brown stable such as the Kimmeridge collection named after Kimmeridge Bay where time on the water and waves has been enjoyed by the founders for many years.
The mix of style, quality and every day utility is a powerful combination that is so effortless to wear for any occasion or activity with none of the anxiety normally associated with desirable watches. It’s a unique mix the brand has become synonymous with.
The Elliot Brown headquarters is in a working boat yard bordering Poole Harbour complete with bar and restaurant on the water’s edge, Lake Yard Club.
